Malva Pudding with First Choice Velvet

Ingredients:
- 500 ml flour
- pinch of salt
- 10 ml baking powder
- 100 g First Choice Butter, room temperature
- 250 ml sugar
- 2 eggs
- 50 ml apricot jam
- 15 ml lemon juice
- 250 ml First Choice Amasi
- 5 ml bicarbonate of soda
Preparation method:
- Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder.
- Cream the First Choice Butter and sugar and beat in the eggs.
- Add the apricot jam and lemon juice and mix well.
- Combine the bicarbonate of soda and the First Choice Amasi and add it to the egg and butter mixture together with the dry ingredients.
- Mix to make the batter.
- Pour into a greased baking dish and bake for 30 minutes at 180°C. Reduce the temperature if it becomes too dark.
- Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes.
For the First Choice Butterscotch Velvet Sauce:
- Mix together 350 ml First Choice Butterscotch Velvet and 150 ml hot water.
- Poke small holes into the malva pudding and pour the hot First Choice Butterscotch Velvet sauce over the pudding.
- Serve warm or cold with more First Choice Butterscotch Velvet and whipped cream.
