Ingredients:

  • 6 portobello mushroom
  • 3 tbsp First Choice Butter
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 round First Choice Feta, crumbled
  • 200 g First Choice Cheddar Cheese, grated
  • 6 pinches parmesan
  • fresh herbs
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 6 peppadews, sliced

Preparation method:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Remove the stalks from the mushrooms and the mushrooms upside-down in a baking tray.
  3. Melt the First Choice Butter and add the garlic. Divide the butter mixture between the mushrooms.
  4. Top each mushroom with crumbled feta, grated cheddar cheese and peppadew. Add some bacon if you like!
  5. Switch the oven setting from bake to grill and grill the mushrooms for approximately 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown. Keep a close eye on these, so they don't burn.
  6. Remove from the oven and plate with fresh herbs, avocado and parmesan!
