Ingredients:

  • 110g castor sugar to make the caramel
  • 4 large eggs
  • 200g cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 200ml First Choice custard
  • 200ml First Choice cream
  • 1/2 pod vanilla seeds scraped out

Preparation method:

  1. Make a dry dark caramel over low heat. Pour into a well-greased baking dish of choice. Cool.
  2. Preheat your oven to 150°C.
  3. Blend the eggs and the cream cheese.
  4. Add the condensed milk, vanilla seeds, custard, cream and mix well together.
  5. Pour the mixture over the hard caramel in the baking dish.
  6. Bake in a water bath for 30 mins uncovered. After 30 mins, cover with foil and bake another 30 mins, the custard should be soft - wiggly but set.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
  8. Unmould onto a serving plate, serve and enoy!
