Ingredients:

For the chocolate layer:

  • 300ml First Choice Chocolate Velvet
  • 100ml cream
  • 80g dark chocolate
  • 2 gelatine sheets, soaked in cold water for 5 mins

For the orange layer:

  • 300ml First Choice Vanilla Velvet
  • 100ml cream
  • Finely grated zest of 1 orange
  • 2 gelatine sheets, soaked in cold water for 5 mins

For the garnish:

  • Optional to garnish with chocolate shards, chocolate malt balls, orange zest

Preparation method:

  1. TO MAKE THE CHOCOLATE LAYER: Heat the cream and chocolate till almost boiling point and remove from the heat. Stir to melt the chocolate.
  2. Squeeze out the water from the softened gelatine leaves and add to the hot cream and chocolate mixture. Stir to dissolve the gelatine and add the chocolate Velvet. Mix well and strain the mixture through a sieve.
  3. TO MAKE THE ORANGE LAYER: Heat the cream and the orange zest till almost boiling point and remove from the heat. Squeeze out the water from the softened gelatine leaves and add to the orange flavoured cream. Stir to dissolve the gelatine and strain the mixture through a sieve.
  4. TO ASSEMBLE: Pour equal amounts of chocolate mixture in 4 serving glasses. Allow to set in the fridge for 30 mins then top with a layer of the orange mixture.
  5. Repeat this process to make as many layers as you prefer. Place in fridge for another 4 hours to set completely.
  6. Decorate as desired.
