Easy red velvet cake recipe!
Preheat oven to 160°C.
Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla in an electric mixer for 8–10 minutes or until pale and creamy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after adding each.
Add the flour, cocoa, buttermilk and food colouring and beat on low speed until combined.
Spoon into a small greased cake tin.
Bake for 45 minutes – 1 hour or until cooked.
Turn onto a wire rack and allow to cool completely.
