Double Velvet Trifle Recipe

Ingredients:
 250 ml First Choice Vanilla Velvet, chilled
 1 tbsp gelatine, dissolved in 50ml of boiling water
 100 g unsweetened maraschino cherries
 2 cups store bought red velvet cake, crumbled
 500 ml First Choice Custard
 250 ml whipping cream
 ½ cup fresh cherries, for serving
 2 tbsp nuts, chopped for serving
 8 mint leaves

Pour First Choice Velvet into the gelatine mixture and mix well.

Pour the First Choice Velvet mixture into 4 dessert glasses.

Add a few cherries to each glass of Velvet and chill for 3 hours. *Place in the freezer for 30min if you're in a hurry.

Whip chilled cream until thick.

Remove dessert glasses from the fridge and add a layer of cake to each glass.

Add a layer of First Choice Custard to each glass.

Top each dessert with a layer of whipped cream.

Finish off with 2 mint leaves, a fresh cherry and a sprinkle of nuts!
